Warning Description: Dense Fog Advisory
Warning Date: 2:04 am PST on December 1, 2008
WarningSum:...Dense Fog Advisory In Effect Until 10 Am Pst This Morning...
Warning Message:The National Weather Service San Francisco Bay area has issued
a dense fog advisory...which is in effect until 10 am PST this
morning.
Widespread dense fog will affect the Monday morning commute across
the valleys of the San Francisco and Monterey Bay region. Dense
fog is being reported in the North Bay valleys...the East Bay
valleys and around Monterey Bay. The fog will become more widespread
and dense between 5 and 7 am creating dangerous driving conditions
for the morning commute. In addition local drizzle will create wet
roadways. Areas around the Delta will see very dense fog as Tule fog
from the Central Valley spills into the east and North Bay valleys
while coastal fog spills through the Golden Gate and down the
Salinas valley. The fog will slowly lift by 10 am for most locations.
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced
to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down...use your
headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
